The need
Turn a standard WooCommerce journey into a commercial workflow for event rental. A request does not immediately become an order: it moves through quoting, adjustments, approval, availability control and then a deposit.
DEV EVOLUER scope
Commercial workflow design, business statuses, transition rules, automated reminders, stock-conflict control, WooCommerce adaptation and preparation of the deposit journey.
Technical decision
The main choice was not to force the business into standard WooCommerce statuses. The workflow mirrors the real commercial process: request → quote → adjustment → confirmation → deposit.
Useful automation
Reminders and state changes are integrated into the process to reduce manual follow-up while keeping human intervention possible when a case needs special treatment.
Delivery & evolution
The architecture is designed to accept additional commercial-cycle steps without rebuilding the whole funnel, including documents, deposit tracking and availability rules.
